Why Use Sessions in Zenvia Conversion?
The Facebook API offers several benefits for companies, mainly by enhancing the handling of inquiries through complementary tools like Zenvia Conversion.
When using Zenvia Conversion's integration with Instagram, you are using the official Facebook API. To prevent misuse of the application and structure interactions, Facebook created the concept of "Session."
As this is a Facebook rule, all authorized API users, including our competitors, charge for the start of sessions. The cost is R$0.06 per session started, and sessions can only be initiated by the client, never by the consultant.
What is an Instagram "Session"?
A session is a 7-day period that starts with a direct message from the client. Each time you receive a message, the 7 days are extended, allowing you and your client to talk for free. Facebook does not allow sending automatic messages or content unrelated to the client's inquiry.
If you do not receive a response from the client for 7 days, you will not be able to send messages. The client will need to send a new message, starting a new session with the cost of R$0.06.
Unlike WhatsApp and Facebook, Instagram does not allow the creation of message templates to request the client's contact.
