Zenvia Customer Cloud allows sending SMS messages to different countries. By default, your account is set up to send messages only to Brazilian numbers, but you can configure it to send SMS to any other country.
Configure sending to international numbers
To enable sending messages to numbers in any country:
-
Go to Settings > Channels > SMS;
-
Click on View in the SMS option;
-
Check the option Enable triggering for numbers in any country;
-
Click on Save.
This setting allows sending messages to numbers with country codes other than the Brazilian one (+55) and may result in additional charges for international sending.
How it works
When the option for international sending is enabled, if a contact does not have the correct country code, the message will be sent, but it may incur additional costs.
Configure sending only to Brazilian numbers
If you enabled international sending but want to revert to the default setting to send only to Brazilian numbers:
-
Go to Settings > Channels > SMS;
-
Click on View in the SMS option;
-
Select the option Enable triggers only for Brazilian numbers;
-
Click on Save to apply the setting.
How it works
If the option to send only to Brazilian numbers is enabled, messages to numbers without the Brazilian country code (+55) will not be sent.
How to avoid unexpected charges and sending issues
To ensure that your messages are sent correctly and avoid unexpected charges, you can validate the country codes of contact numbers during the sending configuration.
Validating country code
The system will check if the numbers have the correct country code before sending the message. This helps avoid additional charges for incorrect numbers.
Not validating country code
-
If the option to send to any country is enabled: messages may be sent to numbers without the correct country code, which may result in additional charges.
-
If the sending is restricted to only Brazilian numbers: messages to numbers without the Brazilian country code (+55) will not be sent.
