WhatsApp Message Templates in Zenvia Conversion

Templates are pre-approved automatic message models by WhatsApp. In Zenvia Conversion, they are used to initiate a conversation or reestablish contact after a 24-hour interval since the last interaction. 

For example, if your company is offering an exclusive discount coupon for Black Friday, you can easily distribute that coupon to all your contacts using Templates.

⚠️Attention: This feature is integrated with the Zenvia Platform to create, edit, manage, and delete Templates. Some template options are not available, such as sending media and detailed information of automatic variables {{1}}, {{2}}, {{3}}.

How it works

The Template is a requirement of the WhatsApp API for conversations initiated by the company, such as messages sent through Zenvia Conversion. After that, you have a 24-hour period to freely interact with your clients in the chat. 

These models, created by you, undergo content validation by Meta, ensuring their effectiveness. Once approved, they can be used to initiate chats with your contact base.

Creating a message template

To create a new template, access the Zenvia Platform and follow the steps in the article How to register templates for WhatsApp.

💡Tip: The models in the Shot Report are already available for use in Zenvia Conversion. If you want to request a new template, your message will automatically be submitted for approval by WhatsApp (Meta).

Template status

The status of the templates is on the Zenvia Platform. There you can track progress by changing the status, which will change from Pending to Approved

Within 24 business hours after WhatsApp's approval regarding the creation of the new Templates, we will enable them for use in your Zenvia Conversion chats.

⚠️Attention: Meta's deadline for the analysis and approval of messages can be up to five business days.

How to start a conversation with the template

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Access Chats> Inbox > You;

2. Select the desired contact or search in the Contact List;

3. Click on the Message Template icon , in the contact's chat;

4. Choose a Message Template to start the conversation and then press Enter or click to send the message to the contact.

💡Tip: To find message models more quickly, go to the contact's chat and use the "/" bar followed by the desired model's keyword.

Reestablish contact

Whenever the session expires, use a message template to reestablish contact:

1. Select the desired contact in Chats> Inbox > You;

2. Click on the Message Template icon , in the contact's chat;

3. Choose a Message Template to start the conversation and then press Enter or click the icon to send the message to the contact.
