04. Content of a Contact List in Zenvia Customer Cloud

The content of a contact list consists of the grouping of information about your clients. In the case of Zenvia Customer Cloud contact list, the available information within a list includes cell phone number, name, and email.

Additionally, you have the flexibility to add new contacts and manage existing ones, allowing you to move, edit, or remove contacts according to your preference to organize your own database.

⚠️ Attention: This functionality is only available to users with the Administrator profile.

To access the content of a list, simply click on the name of the desired list. To do this, in the left sidebar menu, go to Contacts > Contact Lists

Moreover, using the Add Contacts button, you can include contacts manually or through import.

💡 Tip:  When adding a contact manually, the only difference in the procedure is that the Link to one or more lists field automatically selects the currently viewed list.

Now, let's see the options available in the button that apply to each contact in the selected list.

Options for each contact on the list

Within a contact list, you can:

  • Move to another list;

  • Edit contact;

  • Remove contact.

Move to another list

This option allows you to move the contact to another list. It is not possible to move multiple contacts from different lists at the same time, as it is necessary to filter the list itself via .csv, importing the already filtered lists.

To move the contact, select the Move to another list option, choose the desired list in the dropdown menu, and click the Move Contact button.

💡 Tip: If you want to add contacts from one list to another, check the Add contact to a list option in the Contact Manager.

Now that we know how to move contacts, let's learn how to edit them.

Edit contact

This feature allows you to change the information that was entered when adding the contacts, whether manually or through import.

To make an edit:

  1. Select the Edit contact option. Basic information and contact performance data are displayed.

  2. Click the Edit Data button.

💡 Tip:  You can remove a contact from a list or add it to new ones at the time of editing.

The window below is displayed. The form is identical to the one displayed when adding a contact manually.

If the contact is imported through a file containing an extra field, it is possible to edit it manually.

⚠️ Attention: The creation of extra fields is only available for contacts added via file import. The limit for creating extra fields is 100 per organization, and each of them can be used in other imports.

After making the desired edits, click the Save Changes button.

Next, see how to remove a contact from the list.

Remove contact

When selecting the Remove contact option, it is possible to:

  1. Click Remove the contact from this list, so that the contact is no longer used in the current list.

  2. Click Remove from all lists, so that the contact is removed from all lists it belongs to. This feature can be useful if you want to put the contact in a specific new list.

⚠️ Attention: Removing the contact from one or more lists does not mean permanent deletion. This means that you can still find it in your database and also use it in other lists.

In the example, the contact was removed from the current list.

Back in the list, we can see that the contact has already been removed.
