Zenvia Customer Cloud offers tools to ensure your messages are sent correctly and that your contact base is always up to date.

Below are some recommended practices:

  • Contact Validator: Go to Contacts > Invalid Contacts to use the contact validator and correct possible errors in the registered phone numbers or email addresses.
  • International SMS Sending: To ensure SMS delivery to international numbers, enable the international sending option in Settings > Channels.
  • DDI Validation: During the sending setup, validate the DDI codes in the second step of the process. Select the countries where you want to send messages by checking the corresponding boxes.

Best Practices for Phone Numbers

Maintain the Correct Format

Ensure that all numbers are formatted with the country code (DDI), area code (DDD), and complete local number. For example:

  • Brazil: +55 (XX) XXXX-XXXX (Ex.: +55 (11) 98765-4321)
  • Argentina: Include the number 9 between the country code and the area code, without spaces or dashes (Ex.: 54911 1234-5678).

Avoid Additional Characters

Remove dashes, spaces, and extra dots to avoid errors when sending messages.

Insert the Correct DDI

Check the DDI codes for other countries:

  • Argentina: +54
  • Bolivia: +591
  • Brazil: +55
  • Chile: +56
  • Colombia: +57
  • Ecuador: +593
  • Paraguay: +595
  • Peru: +51
  • Uruguay: +598
  • Venezuela: +58
  • Mexico: +52
  • United States: +1

Best Practices for Email Addresses

Maintain Standard Formatting

Ensure that addresses follow the standard format: email@domain.com.

Avoid Special Characters

Ensure the email does not contain special characters like !, #, $, %, &. Use only dots (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-) in permitted sections. Also, keep the email in lowercase and avoid unnecessary dots in the username, as some platforms may treat them differently.

Insert a Valid Domain

Confirm that the domain (the part after the @) is a valid and registered domain. Use DNS verification tools to ensure the domain has MX (Mail Exchange) records configured, indicating it can receive emails.

Additional Tips

  • Contact Base Maintenance: Periodically clean your contact base by removing duplicates, inactive contacts, or incorrect data.

  • CRM System Integrations: If your company uses a CRM system, ensure that the integration with Zenvia Customer Cloud is correctly configured to avoid importing contacts with errors.

  • Sending Tests: Conduct sending tests for different contact groups before major campaigns, ensuring messages are correctly configured.

  • Reports and Analysis: Use reports to monitor sending success rates and identify error patterns. Analyze the reports to adjust validation practices as needed.
